Located in the heart of the tourist area of Don Khong, across from the river in Khang Khone Village, Pon's River Guest House is ideally located for both arrival and departure to Don Khong, exploration of the island and facilities and services available for tourists including restaurants, internet and the bank.

If on a pre-booked transfer including minivan and boat from either Pakse or Si Pan Don, it is most likely you will cross the river from Hat Xai Khun on the mainland to Muang Khong Village on Don Khong. This boat crossing arrives directly at the riverside lined by guest houses and Pon's River Guest House can be immediately accessed from the few boat landing areas.

If arriving independently, you will either charter a private boat from Hat Xai Khun on the mainland to take you across to Don Khone and arrive directly at Pon's River Guest House or you will arrive at Ban Hat where the commercial ferry crossing is taking foot passengers, motorcycles and larger vehicles regularly to Don Khone and back. This ferry crossing arrives south of Muang Khong Village on Don Khong where Pon's River Guest House is located.

Whilst on the ferry or after arriving on Don Khong, try to ask any of the motorbikes or vehicles for a lift to Pon's River Guest House in Muang Khong. This is a short 5 minute drive to the right of the ferry landing.
