Guests can easily cycle to Wat Phou along a straight, flat road from Vong Paseud Guest House. Boat taxis across the river to Don Daeng Island are scenic and fun and can go direct from Vong Paseud.

From Pakse: head to the main bus station in Pakse (8km from the centre of town) and jump on any of the many Song Tao's heading south to or through Champasak Town. The 45 km journey should take around 1 hour depending on the ferry situation. The Song Tao will drive onto the ferry barge and take you across the Mekong River to Champasak Town. After the ferry, you will turn left onto the main street of Champasak Town with the centre being 2km away. Look out for Vong Paseud Guest House which is on the left hand side (river side) and opposite Inthira Boutique Hotel in Ban Amard. Ask the driver to be dropped off there.
From the ferry landing in Champasak Town: Vong Paseud Guest House is located in Ban Amard of Champasak Town. Turn left onto the main street and head 2km into the centre of town passing a roundabout, Tourist Information Centre, Champasak Spa, District Office and Bank. Heading towards Wat Phou Temple, Vong Paseud Guest House is on your left hand side (River side of street) and opposite Inthira Boutique Hotel.
