Situated amongst a cluster of guest houses, Saythong is within walking distance of the local bank, Internet cafe (500 metres to the left), Tourist Information Centre (400 metres to the right) and 2 km to the primary school (near the ferry landing) where Internet access is also available.

Getting there
From Pakse: Head to the main bus station in Pakse which is 8km from the centre of Pakse town. Jump on any of the many song tao's heading south to or through Champasak town. The 45km journey takes approximately 1 hour depending of the ferry crossing. The song tao will take you over the ferry and into Champasak town where you will have to inform the driver when you want to stop and get off.
When arriving in Champasak town from the ferry crossing, turn left onto the main street when exiting the ferry landing and head towards Wat Phou and away from the Primary School. Head along this road for approximately 2 km passing the post office (river side) and roundabout. Continuing straight, not far after the Information Centre (river side) and the bank (right hand side), you will find Saythong Guest House on the river side of the road (left hand side).
