Sang Aroun Hotel
Sustainability
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Energy Conservation
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Sang Aroun Hotel has installed key tags in each guest rooms to ensure unessential electrics are turned off when guests leave the room and therefore minimises energy use and the hotel's carbon footprint. This is not a common practice with hotels and guesthouses in Laos, and shows the additional lengths gone to by the Seng Aroun Hotel.

on 18 Jan 2011 Hotel didn't seem to care much about providing extras - When i asked if I could book a tai to take us to the airport they simply said they couldn't do this. No offer of other help.
