A 90 minute elephant ride (2 people per elephant) takes you through the forest and up to Mount Asa. As you travel on the back of your elephant, enjoy the views of the Xe Pian Protected Area. Xe Pian stretches along the Mekong River and is comprised of a variety of ecosystems such as wetlands and forests inhabited by wild elephants, gibbons and many species of birds.
From the top of Mt Asa, a short walk will bring you to another world where you will discover the remnants of an ancient civilization. On the way back to your hotel, stop at the village of Ban Nong Bune which specializes in wood carving.
