The full day hands-on workshop which visits an organic coffee plantation and a farm gives an insight into the growing, farming, cleansing and roasting processes involved in Lao coffee production.
The workshop is all highly informative and interactive, with discussions on many different subjects. Indepth information is provided by both a Lao coffee farmer's perspective and a European perspective.

Participants are to make their way to Koffie's place in Paksong by 8:00 am the morning of the workshop.
Workshop begins at 8:00 am with coffee and breakfast.
After breakfast, around 9:00 am, visit a small organic coffee farm (transport included). Here you will see coffee trees ranging from 2 to 6 years old and learn about the different stages of coffee growing. Information is explained from both a Lao coffee farmer's perspective and a European perspective. Spend around 2 hours here and finish the morning at a coffee farm to see the differences (30 minutes).
Lunch is at the Bolaven Restaurant in Paksong.
After lunch, around 1:00 pm, explore the techniques of cleaning Arabica and Robusta beans and roast coffee in a wok to experience and learn about the entire roasting process and its flavours, sounds and colours.
Finish the day around 4:00 pm taking home some of the coffee you roasted and the techniques you learnt during the day to be able to roast coffee at home.
