Duration: 3 day(s) - Location: Pakse – Tad Lo – Attapeu – Pakse

The Ho Chi Minh Discovery is a scenic tour visiting some of the best waterfalls in Laos including the two stunning cascades of Tad Fane twin falls framed against the Bolaven Plateau and dropping nearly 120m, making this one of the most spectacular sights in Laos.

Heading over the Bolaven Plateau, the tour visits Attapeau; a remote, rugged and wondrous area which made up part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail during the Vietnam War and still bears the scars of this time. Passengers will witness history here with remnants of the heavy bombing and artillery still remaining today.

Day 3 Attapeu - Pakse (B/L)

Attapeu is one of the most isolated and rugged regions in Laos with a wide variety of colourful wildlife and ethnic villages. Due to being along the Ho Chi Minh Trail and suffered heavy bombing during the Vietnam War, there are a large number of artefacts left over from the war including an old Russian surface to air missile at Pa-am which makes for a scenic morning drive. Pa-am marks part of the Ho Chi Minh trail which you can see leading up into the hills towards Vietnam.

Drive back across the Bolaven Plateau.
Have lunch at Katamtok waterfall in Paxong before continuing on towards Pakse.
On route enjoy a swim at Tad Yuang waterfall and visit the a view point of the spectacular Tad Fane twin waterfalls which plummet 120 m into a deep chasm.
Stop at a local Tea and Coffee plantation gaining an insight into an industry introduced by the French and has since thrived on the fertile volcanic rock soils making up the Bolaven Plateau, before arriving in Pakse.
